Artistic Concrete Floors, LLC is a family owned and operated business and has been since its inception. Justen began working with his mother and father, Kim & Chet Brown, in the summer of 2000 for a neighbor of theirs who insisted that the Browns had the know-how and ability to execute a stained concrete floor even though they had no experience doing so. So, Kim, Chet, and Justen ripped out the carpet for this neighbor and completed their very first decorative concrete floor. That floor turned out so well that more and more neighbors and friends began requesting the same type of work. After 4 years of doing floors on the side (weekends mostly), Artistic Concrete Floors became an official LLC and the two other Brown brothers jumped on board with their mother, father, and Justen, the middle son.

An illness in the family changed the lineup in 2011, but Justen stays committed to creating beautiful floors with the help of a reliable crew and his wife, Jackie. Justen attended LSU and now has 20 years of experience in the decorative concrete field and Jackie attended Ole Miss and the University of New Orleans with a background in accounting and interior design. When you call Artistic Concrete Floors, Jackie guides each prospective customer through the pricing and design aspects, and Justen supervises and works alongside his crew on every single job. While the bulk of Artistic Concrete Floors’ work is in the greater New Orleans area, they have worked as far north as Michigan and as far west as Texas. They pride themselves on customer satisfaction and truly stand behind their work. Good word of mouth is priceless, and this is the only advertisement upon which Artistic Concrete relies.

Justen and Jackie split their time between running the business and raising their two boys, Patrick (age 7) and Bradley (age 4). Their children drive both of them to work even harder as they strive to create a legacy through Artistic Concrete Floors. They consider themselves a small business but have big plans and a fierce dedication to the quality of their work. Tre West has been an invaluable team member since 2018 and is the fastest learner we’ve ever had the honor of teaching this trade. He loves his wife, Sierra, and two kids, Niklaus (age 4) and Marcellus (age 3) intensely– and works harder than most to make sure they have the best life. A graduate of Mandeville High School with roots in Slidell, Tre is a Northshore native and plans to keep it that way. He’s an avid Lebron James fan and Pels fan, but nothing tops time spent with his family. Justen may have taught Tre everything he knows about decorative concrete, but Jackie insists Tre is her right-hand man and absolute best communicator on the team. Artistic Concrete is honored to have Tre as a part of our family and looks forward to the day he takes over our family business!
